The latest Leicester City news as the former Chelsea and England captain has joined the new manager at the King Power Stadium as they aim to save the club from relegation this season.

New Leicester City coach John Terry has been working on ‘little details’ with the defense in order for them to shut out Manchester City, Dean Smith has revealed.

Terry joined the club along with Smith and Craig Shakespeare on Monday as the trio look to help save the club from relegation from the Premier League in the final eight games of the season. The city currently sits in 19th place, two points adrift of safety.

One of City’s problems this season has been in defense with a number of avoidable goals conceded. It’s an area that Champions League winner Terry will look to improve during his time at the club.

The former England captain has already shown he is putting in the work, sharing a clip of him analyzing Man City ahead of the game. He has since shared a second clip on social media on Friday evening showing him heavily involved in training as the team prepares for his first City game.

Speaking to the media on Friday morning, Smith revealed that both Terry and Shakespeare’s desire to join him at City was one of the reasons he took the job. The new City boss has now revealed the work that Terry is already doing with the defense, with a meeting taking place this week.

“JT has already had a defensive meeting with the players where I just sat at the back,” he told Sky Sports. “He was showing clips of Man City and their goals, how they could have been defended better, and the little details of how he does not like certain things, how we should react.

“These are the small details that others can miss.”

The city will have their work cut out to keep their opponents from scoring at the weekend. In their last five games in all competitions, Man City has scored a total of 24 goals, including an impressive 3-0 win over Bayern Munich In the Champions League on Tuesday.
