Wolves have injury concerns over two players ahead of the Premier League clash against Leicester City this weekend.

Julen Lopetegui will definitely be without two long-term absentees when he brings his team to the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The game is the first of a big three clashes for City in their fight against relegation.

Following the match vs Wolves, City takes on fellow relegation rivals Leeds United and Everton in their next two games. A win this weekend could give the team a springboard into the two clashes.

The city currently sits in 19th place in the table but are only two points adrift of Everton in 17th place. It means a win could see them climb out of the bottom three this weekend.

Ahead of the game, the Wolves are set to assess the fitness of two players. Striker Diego Costa, who scored his first goal for the club last weekend, was forced off the pitch with a knock with Lopetegui saying he’ll be assessed.

It does, however, seem that the Spaniard could be fit to face City. He has been pictured in training ahead of the game, indicating that the knock was not a serious one.

Another player who is a doubt for the Wolves is a defensive midfielder, Boubacar Traore. The 21-year-old is stepping up his return from a groin injury, but a lack of match fitness could make him unavailable for the clash at the King Power Stadium.

The midfielder has not played since before the World Cup break, meaning it will take some time for him to get up to speed before being put back into a Premier League game.

Wolves will definitely be without long-term absentees Sasa Kalajdzic and Chiquinho who are both ruled out until the end of the season. They have though been given a double boost for the game against City with both Jonny and Ruben Neves returning from suspension.

Jonny has missed the last three games after being shown a straight red in the 4-2 loss vs Leeds at the end of last month, while Neves has served both of his two games suspension after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season vs Nottingham Forest. If both or either come back into the starting line-up is still to be seen.
