Tottenham player sets ‘minimum amount’ for salary– Money important ahead of summer move

It’s been clear for a long time that Lucas Moura is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season. The player had barely been used by Spurs this year, and with his contract running out, there’s no intention from the club to extend it.

It turns out that the few minutes the attacker had on the pitch in the game against Liverpool were enough to make his situation worse, as he was directly involved in the play which resulted in the Reds’ late winner.

The Brazilian media gave big coverage to that, and journalist Daniel Perrone now features an update on his situation.

Perrone first writes that Moura’s former club São Paulo is interested in signing him, but the Tottenham player is still to decide his future.

It’s claimed that the 30-year-old has set a ‘minimum amount’ to earn in his next contract in Europe. However, through his staff, he dismissed that the same price would be requested from Brazilian clubs, especially São Paulo, for whom he has big respect.

The journalist also writes that ‘everything indicates’ he’s received an official offer from Turkey, and the local media had indeed been reporting Fenerbahce’s interest.

It seems clear that Moura will wait for the end of the season with Tottenham to see what’s on the table. Now after being slammed for his mistake against Liverpool, he may not be getting any more chances to play for the club.

Inter ‘willing to sell’ Lautaro Martinez to Man United

Inter Milan are willing to sell forward Lautaro Martinez to Man United.

Manchester United Football Club desperately needs to bring in a new striker this summer. That has to be the number one priority going into a huge transfer window.

Erik Ten Hag has absolutely done his best with what he currently has in the final third, though next season, he’ll be hoping for more quality in that area.

Harry Kane is undoubtedly the name atop everyone’s list. Signing him may be tough, as negotiations with Spurs’ Daniel Levy are never easy.

As you’d expect, United are doing their due diligence and looking at other options aside from Kane. Today, another name has been added to that list; Lautaro Martinez.

It’s Football Insider with the scoop. They claim that his current club, Inter Milan, is ‘willing to sell’ the 25-year-old forward to United, as they look to raise funds ahead of the summer.

On top of that, it’s stated the Reds view the player as an alternative option to Kane, should Spurs refuse to sell the Englishman to a direct rival.

In terms of Martinez’s transfer fee, around £70m should be enough to get the deal done – which is obviously an awful lot of money. If it were me, I’d pay the £100m (maybe more), to get Kane in, purely because he’s Premier League proven.

FI believes that Ten Hag wants a frontman who can press from the front. Martinez does fit that bill nicely, claiming the Argentine is the ‘perfect fit’ for this current style of play United is deploying.

The Reds wouldn’t have it all their own way in pursuit of Martinez, with both Real Madrid and Arsenal also keen.

As an absolute minimum, you’d expect United would need Champions League football on the table to have any sort of chance at luring Martinez in.
