Daniel Levy has been photographed in an airport with Tottenham’s new chief football officer, Scott Munn.
Levy has a lot on his plate at the moment with the Spurs chairman not only on the lookout for a permanent head coach but also needing to appoint a director of football following Fabio Paratici’s resignation last month.
The Evening Standard reported a couple of weeks ago that while Tottenham would ideally want to appoint Paratici’s replacement first and take the new director’s input on the managerial search, they are not prepared to put off their search for a head coach any longer.
In fact, it emerged last week that Levy has already met with Julian Nagelsmann in London to discuss the managerial vacancy (CaughtOffside).
Levy can turn to the expertise of Munn in helping make those appointments, with the Australian now expected to take charge of the footballing department at Spurs.
The pair are seemingly already at work regarding the aforementioned appointments as they were pictured together at London City Airport on Monday.
Although Munn does not officially start in his new role until the summer, it comes as no surprise that Tottenham’s new chief footballing officer is already at work to help the club make the necessary appointments.
Perhaps it is he, rather than Levy, who is spearheading the search for a new director, who would in turn make the final decision on which head coach to appoint.

Simon Jordan has said that Daniel Levy would be criticized widely for a lack of ambition if he appoints Ryan Mason as Tottenham’s permanent head coach.
Mason did an admirable job when he was put in charge of Tottenham temporarily after Jose Mourinho’s sacking in 2021, winning four of his six Premier League games in charge.
The 31-year-old has made an impressive start to his second spell in the hot seat as the Lilywhites battled back from two goals down at half-time to salvage a draw against Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday.
Mason remarked ahead of the game that although his focus is entirely on the task at hand, he believes he is ready to be Spurs’ full-time head coach (Football: London).
On the back of Tottenham’s performance on Thursday, it appears that some fans are already coming around the idea of the former Spurs midfielder getting the gig.
However, Jordan believes that Levy cannot afford to appoint someone inexperienced like Mason because of the bad optics of such a decision.
The former Crystal Palace chairman told talksSPORT (26 April, 12 pm): “I felt that it was a risk from Bournemouth putting Gary O’Neil in place. He’s been given a chance. And he is proving me wrong in this instance.
“But it’s a different dynamic managing Bournemouth to managing Tottenham.
“If you think Daniel Levy’s getting pelters now, imagine what would be said if he puts Ryan Mason in charge.
“He’d be between the rock and the proverbial in the eyes of everyone, in terms of a lack of ambition.”

Some of the club’s decisions have certainly backfired over recent years but the last thing Levy or anyone else in the Tottenham board should do is to listen to the fans.
The same fans who are giving pelters to the club for hiring Conte are the ones who were calling for the Italian to get the job.
The majority of the fan base had also turned on Pochettino and wanted him to be sacked when the club eventually made that decision on the Argentine but those same people now criticize the club for it in hindsight.
Those who want Ryan Mason to get the job now will be the same ones who turn around and criticize Levy for giving the job to an inexperienced manager if things sour under the 31-year-old.
