Leeds star already thinking about future as Sam Allardyce arrival – journalist

Max Wober may already be considering his future at Leeds United after Sam Allardyce’s appointment made it three managers in five months.

Wober joined in January from Salzburg and has established himself as a regular starter in defense, but the Whites are in serious danger of relegation with just four games remaining of the season.

And according to Austrian journalist Peter Linden (3 May), Wober may need to think about leaving should they go down because of the uncertainty around the managers since he joined

“Leeds legionnaire Max Wöber also has to think about his future, Tuesday he got his third coach in five months,” he said.

“In January it was Jesse Marsch, whom he already knew from Red Bull Salzburg. In February it became the Spaniard Javier Gracia, who had to go again four laps before the end.”

Nightmare

Relegation would legitimately be an absolute nightmare for Leeds United because the squad that we have assembled is more than good enough to be doing better than this.

The likes of Wober, Wilfried Gnonto, Tyler Adams, Illan Meslier, Crysencio Summerville, Jack Harrison, and many others are undoubtedly better than they’ve been performing this season.

That begs the question of why, and it has to be down to tactics, beliefs, and instructions. But if we’re able to stay in the Premier League under Big Sam, then Wober is someone who absolutely has to stay.

There will need to be changed because some players are showing that they’re not worthy or willing to be here and fight for the badge, but he isn’t one of them.

If we go down, there will be teams queueing up to take him away from Elland Road because of how talented he is and we’ll only have ourselves to blame for losing such quality from our squad.

In other Leeds news, Sam Allardyce has hinted that he could axe one star from his side to face Man City.
