Tottenham has riled up talented superstar as £60m transfer move

Richarlison has made just 10 Premier League starts for Tottenham this season since making the £60million move from Everton

Tottenham could rile up Richarlison by adding another forward to their side with the £60million signing of Harvey Barnes which is said to be ‘a real possibility’. Spurs splashed out £60m to sign Richarlison from Everton last summer in what was the second biggest transfer fee in the club’s history.

The 25-year-old signed a five-year deal with the North London club last summer but has struggled to live up to his fee. He scored his first Premier League goal in Spurs’ 4-3 defeat at Liverpool recently. The signing of Richarlison looked a huge one for Spurs after the Brazilian scored 52 goals in 153 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees.

However, the former Everton forward has had a nightmare season hampered by a hamstring injury that was sustained at the World Cup after scoring three times in four matches for Brazil. Richarlison has shown his frustration publicly and blasted former boss Antonio Conte in a furious rant over his ‘s***’ season due to his lack of minutes.

It came as no surprise when the Brazilian let out an emotional celebration after scoring a late equalizer against Liverpool for his first Premier League goal. However, moments later he was mocked when Diogo Jota went up the other end and scored a late winner to cancel out the significance of the Spurs man’s strike.

The Daily Mail has reported that the North London club may now make a move for Leicester winger Barnes who could cost the London club around the £60m mark. It is believed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is looking to add English talent to his side and has also been tracking £35m attacking midfielder James Maddison.

It is reported that Leicester is ready to cash in on Barnes and Maddison this summer amid a summer overhaul after a disappointing campaign. Levy could be encouraged to pull off a bumper £ 110 million double deal this summer for both Foxes players to send a message to potential managers.
