Ten Leicester City stars set to quit in mass exodus

James Maddison is one of ten Leicester City stars that could quit the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

If Leicester are relegated from the Premier League this season they could be set to lose between seven and ten players in a mass exodus at the end of the campaign.

It is believed Maddison, 26, will be one of the names leaving the King Power Stadium if they cannot hold on to their top-flight status for the 2023-24 season.

On Thursday (4 May), Football Insider revealed that Tottenham is pushing to get a deal done for the star midfielder and £ 60 million could be enough to get a deal over the line.

The England international will have a year left on his deal at Leicester at the end of the season but is keen to move on from the East Midlands club this year in the event that they are demoted to the Championship.

Last month (14 April), sources told this site that Leicester is worried they could lose Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka, Kelechi Iheanacho, Kieran Dewsbury-Hall, Ricardo Pereira, and Timothy Castagne at the end of the season.

These players are among the most valuable at the club and want to stay in the Premier League next season.

As a result, there is a worry among the Foxes hierarchy that the players could be picked off by top-flight clubs in the event they drop down to the second division.

In other news, Newcastle is now confident of signing Leicester and Southampton stars.
