Tottenham 27-year-old talented has been ruled out for the season due to injury

Tottenham will be without four players when they face Aston Villa in a crucial league game next week.

Unai Emery has transformed Aston Villa from a side in relegation form to a team that is fighting for a spot in Europe. He has done a remarkable job in a very short time.

They did suffer a surprising defeat to Wolves this weekend which has dented their chances for a spot in Europe.

Their next game is against Tottenham who are also fighting for a spot in Europe and are currently 3 points ahead of Villa.

The game is going to be a must-win match for Ryan Mason who also had quite a visible impact on the Tottenham team since becoming the interim manager in April. Tottenham looks like a completely different side under him proving to be a much more attacking threat. They also managed to keep their first clean sheet in ages against Palace after Ryan Mason switched the system to a back four.

And Ryan Mason provided an injury update on Clement Lenglet who picked up an injury in the 88th minute against Palace. He gave an update on him confirming that it is not too serious.

He said:

“He had a shoulder problem, you could probably see. Hopefully nothing too serious, too bad. “

He could potentially be a doubt for the game against Aston Villa but it will be assessed further in the coming days.

They will also be without veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who is set to miss the rest of the season with an injury.

The win against Palace was their first in 5 games and it came against Roy Hodgson’s team who were unbeaten since he took over. Spurs will hope to build on the win with another result against Aston Villa.
