Tottenham sent scouts to watch £20 million midfielder in action last week

According to a report from the Sun, clubs like Aston Villa, Wolves, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Leicester City have all sent scouts to watch the player in action last week.

The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has been an important player for Strasbourg this season and he would be a solid long-term acquisition for these Premier League clubs.

Spurs need to add more quality and depth to their side. They have not been able to rotate players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this season due to the lack of options and someone like Diarra could be a reliable understudy. He could establish himself as a key first-team player for Spurs in the long run.

The French outfit could be under pressure to sell him this summer if there is a concrete offer on the table. Although the player has a contract with them until 2027, they might not be able to turn down a substantial offer from English clubs. The midfielder is reportedly valued at £20 million.

A move to Spurs would be a step up in the youngster’s career as well. He could flourish at the North London club under the right manager.

The 19-year-old has the attributes to thrive in English football if the transfer goes through
