According to a report from The Sun, West Ham are at the front of the queue to sign Scott McTominay from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, alongside Newcastle.

Pundit claims 'half' the Man Utd team 'not good enough' with Scott McTominay taken to the cleaners

The 26-year-old Man United midfielder has been on the West Ham radar for quite some time now.

Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperate to bolster his central midfield ranks this summer, with Declan Rice being heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium.

He could be available for as little as £25 million this summer.

And for that kind of money, it’s easy to see why Moyes will try to bring the Manchester United man to East London…

West Ham is in the front row for Scott McTominay’s signing

The Sun reckons that Hammers boss Moyes is leading the race to bring the Scotland international to the London Stadium from Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

I still think that McTominay would be a really good signing for West Ham.

Whilst the 26-year-old is not as good as Declan Rice, and in no way should be viewed as the 24-year-old’s direct replacement, he would be a really strong addition to Moyes’s squad.

The Scottish midfielder has energy and stamina in abundance and is a tireless worker. He is strong as an ox, tenacious in the tackle, and quick along the ground.

At face value, he possesses all of the attributes that West Ham manager David Moyes usually looks for in a player.

Scott McTominay would be a very smart addition to West Ham this summer. However, if he is the only central midfielder brought in to replace Declan Rice there will be a mutiny at the London Stadium.

Signing the Scot alongside someone like Seko Fofana, Khephren Thuram or Teun Koopmeiners would represent a superb window for the Hammers.
