Talented young star to hand over majority control in Everton investment twist today – report

Farhad Moshiri set to lose majority control of Everton with investment news

A Message From Farhad Moshiri

Farhad Moshiri is set to finally cede majority control of Everton with new investment now on the verge at Goodison Park, according to The Esk.

The online source has reported that a new share issue in favor of MSP Sports Capital will dilute Moshiri to below 50% with changes to follow.

The new investors will be set to control budgets as well as board composition with key positions set to change, it appears this summer.

Writing on their personal Twitter account, the Esk said: “Moshiri is set to cede majority control of Everton with a new share issue in favor of new investor (MSP) diluting Moshiri to below 50%.

“New investor will control budgets plus board composition allowing for a change in key chair and CEO positions.”

If Moshiri isn’t going to fully sell up and leave, then this is certainly the next best development.

Losing majority control will be the main headline, but the fact that MSP Sports Capital will now control budgets and decisions at the very top is the best outcome.

Moshiri has proven that he cannot be trusted to make the big decisions, and the money spent during his tenure to zero success tells the entire story.

With changes likely in key positions, we could see an entirely different strategy, but it may not come into effect straight away with finances looking tight.

Resignations were expected after the season finished, and they could soon follow to open up seats in the boardroom and for new faces to make their way in at Everton.

Moshiri will be sticking around and the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will be finished without hiccups now, thankfully, and it should be a Premier League stadium.
