The Baggies came to within touching distance of making the playoffs and if they had a guaranteed goal scorer, they could’ve converted some of those draws into wins.

Carlos Corberan has undoubtedly done a great job thus far but will need backing in the transfer window to take the club to the next level.

Stoke Sentinel reported on 26 May that Peterborough has placed Jonson Clarke-Harris on the transfer list after an exceptional campaign in League One.

He bagged 27 goals and played a huge role n guiding his side to the play-off finals which they eventually lost but it seems like he’s outgrown that challenge.

In three seasons at Peterborough, the 28-year-old has bagged 74 goals and has proven to be a more than capable deputy to Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

Returning to the race cannot be ruled out, especially given the fact that they will also be looking for a new striker in the summer.

The Daily Record reported in July 2021 that West Brom was circling around the English striker after being linked with him for a number of months.

If sides like Stoke think that they can benefit from his services, there’s no reason to believe that he cannot be a quality acquisition for Corberan’s side.
