Leeds United man expected to complete six-figure exit once the holiday is concluded – Graham Smyth

Birmingham City looks all set to complete the signing of Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts for a cut-price £500,000 fee, once the player returns from his holiday.

Leading contenders named as Leeds set deadline by which to send Tyler Roberts away

The Whites are primed to let a number of senior and fringe players go this summer after being relegated from the Premier League.

After a host of players were loaned out in the 22/23 season, most of them could be set to depart when the offers come piling in.

Is Tyler Roberts to leave?

The Athletic reported recently that Leeds forward Tyler Roberts is set to leave the club for Championship rivals Birmingham City.

It comes after the Welsh international finished his loan stint at QPR from last season, again plagued by injuries as he mustered just 18 appearances with three goals during that time.

Roberts has one year left on his Leeds contract after penning an extension at the end of the 20/21 season.

When will the transfer be confirmed?

An update has since emerged from the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth, who reveals that the striker is due to complete his move imminently.

The striker is currently enjoying a post-season holiday in Marbella where he is also keeping his fitness in peak condition with a training camp.

His move to St Andrew’s will be concluded once he returns to the UK, with the Mail claiming a fee of £500,000 plus add-ons has been agreed.

Will Leeds get promoted in 2023/24?

It’s a move that is certainly best for all parties, knowing that he doesn’t have a future here, and he’s leaving permanently too.

Hopefully, he can put injury issues behind him and really showcase that he could be a good Championship striker, just not in two of those 46 fixtures.

There’s no place for him at Leeds, and to get something of a fee and to get him off the wage bill is a boost for us.
