Indeed, as per reports in the Daily Mail, the USA international has admirers throughout England’s top division and looks likely to leave Elland Road this summer.

The ‘fantastic’ midfielder is also attracting the attention of a number of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United.

Adams would be a tremendous signing for Sean Dyche and could potentially fill the Amadou Onana-shaped hole in Everton’s midfield should Belgian leave Goodison Park.

Onana, who has been heavily linked with a move elsewhere just a year after signing for Everton in a £33m deal from Lille, could be set for a move to Manchester United, who are particularly interested in his signature.

Tyler Adams would be a fantastic signing, but the race for his signature could be on

Adams could be a great signing for Everton, and the young midfielder was even compared to French midfielder N’Golo Kante during last year’s FIFA World Cup by pundit Ian Wright.

Speaking via Wrighty’s House Podcast, the former Arsenal striker heaped praise on the USA international, stating: “I watched him in the first game against Wales and it was a fairly easy game for him.

In that game yesterday [against England], I got (N’Golo) Kante vibes in the way he was snuffing and intercepting, tackles. I got that kind of vibe.

If there’s something over there, he’s over there snuffing it out. He’s like how (N’Golo) Kante was. He’s like a magnet to the ball where the problems are going to come.”

Such a player would fit right into a Sean Dyche setup and could be a superb addition to Everton’s midfield, though the Blues clearly have competition for his signature.

What kind of fee Leeds United would be after remains unclear, but if Everton is looking at midfield recruits this summer, they could do a lot worse than Tyler Adams.
