It has been reported that Leicester City is keen on wrapping up a transfer for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford.

This comes from the Sun after it was claimed just five days ago that Enzo Maresca’s side was interested in signing Zack Steffen.

Now, Leicester City also seems to be intrigued by the prospect of James Trafford playing his football at the King Power Stadium next season

Leicester interested in James Trafford’s transfer

The 20-year-old, who Cole Palmer backs to become world-class (via Manchester Evening News) one day has been brilliant during his back-to-back loan stints at Bolton Wanderers.

While Trafford penned a new contract in July last year, he recently admitted that he plans to get regular playing time under his belt in the following campaign, while hinting that he could even leave City in the future to become a No.1 at another top club.

Now, it has been claimed that Leicester is interested in signing James Trafford from Manchester City.

To add to that, the Foxes have been ‘impressed’ by the youngster’s tremendous progress during his short spell at the senior level.

However, the report does emphasize that while City aims to send him on loan, it remains unknown whether the now-Championship side intends to sign any goalkeeper on a temporary or permanent basis.

Manchester City should send the youngster on loan

With how much potential James Trafford has, Manchester City would be well-advised to send him on loan to Leicester rather than sanctioning a permanent move.

While Ederson is only just 29 years of age and is entering his prime, it helps to have a future superstar on one’s books that could be ready to take the club legend’s place in the near future.

Trafford, alongside being a terrific shot-stopper is known to be crisp with the ball at his feet, which makes him ideal to man the net for the treble-winners one day.
