Coventry City Agree Big Fee For Rangers Target

Coventry City have managed to agree a deal worth up to €11m with Antalyaspor for Rangers target Haji Wright, it has been claimed in Turkey.

Wright joined Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor on loan from Danish side Sonderjyske in the summer of 2021 and made the move permanent the following summer.

Last season, the centre forward netted 15 goals in 28 appearances for the Turkish side and helped them avoid relegation.

His performances this season have attracted interest from several outfits, including Scottish giants Rangers and Coventry City.

Michael Beale, who has made a host of signings this summer, is an admirer of Wright.

Coventry are in the market for a centre forward to replace Viktor Gyokeres and have their eyes set on the 25-year-old USA international.

Now, according to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, Coventry have agreed a deal with Antalyaspor for Wright

The Sky Blues are set to pay €9m plus €2m in bonuses and the Turkish side will receive 20 per cent of the future sale of Wright.

It remains to be seen if they can now quickly push the transfer over the line.
