Report: ‘Unbelievable’ player could now leave Everton this summer, he already has an agreement in place

Demarai Gray has reached a verbal agreement to join Fulham.

That’s according to Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett, who has reported that the winger will only join the Cottagers once Sean Dyche has brought in a replacement.

Gray has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer, with Crystal Palace, Besiktas and clubs in the Saudi Pro League said to be interested.

The 27-year-old joined Everton in 2021 for only £1.7 million and was considered an ‘unbelievable find’ as he bagged eleven goals in all competitions, but the Toffees could look to cash in and make a huge profit as they demand around £12m for his signature.

While recent reports suggested Gray could be on his way to Besiktas after the Turkish club enquired about his availability, he now looks increasingly likely to move to the English capital, with Dorsett claiming personal terms ‘won’t be an issue’.

Everton need Demarai Gray replacement before he joins Fulham

Everton have already brought Arnaut Danjuma in on loan this summer, however the Toffees will need more reinforcements to fill in the void from Demarai Gray.

The Dutchman started the friendly with Stoke City up front and could take up that role in Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence.

The only other winger on the Toffees’ books is Dwight McNeil, meaning they will have to bring in a new first team attacker to replace Gray.

Their search for a new forward has been well underway for some time, with deals for Anthony Elanga and Wilfried Gnonto both collapsing in recent weeks.

However, their pursuit of Tete is looking positive after the Brazilian terminated his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk. Everton will have to shrug off a number of interested clubs in order to secure the former Leicester City loanee.
