As the report emerge Five Everton exits on the cards amid hunt to sign two ex-PL strikers

Everton are reportedly prepared to sell up to five stars in order to fund a move for a new striker, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported in its print edition (page 67, 4 August) a list of the club’s needs, targets, and potential players who could leave Goodison Park this summer.

Demarai Gray, Neil Maupay, Mason Holgate, Andre Gomes, and Jean-Philippe Gambin are the five players who could be set to play their football elsewhere next season.

Meanwhile, the list of club targets comprises exclusively forward players, with former Premier League strikers Che Adams and Kelechi Iheanacho both part of the five-man shortlist.

Obvious needs

It is clear from taking a closer look at who the club like what their priority is heading into the final month of the summer transfer window, to sign a new striker.

Only Wolves scored fewer goals than the Toffees last season and Sean Dyches’ side is in desperate need of some firepower going forward to help them steer clear of relegation once again during the upcoming campaign.

While the likes of Joel Piroe, who has a fantastic goalscoring record in the Championship, and Boulaye Dia, who scored at an impressive rate in the Serie A last season, could make for exciting additions, they are also gambles.

Iheanacho and Adams both have Premier League experience which makes them much more attractive options for Dyche and if the club can get either one of those signings across the line, they might give themselves a fighting chance of finishing higher up the table.
