WOLVES APPROVED A £14M SIGNING OF A MAN WHO IS ONE OF EUROPE’S MOST IN-FORM MIDFIELDERS
Wolves and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, one of Europe’s most effective midfielders, have “agreed a deal in principle.” Bellegarde will leave Strasbourg of the Ligue 1 for the Premier League.
It occurs frequently in football. As rumors continue to circle around the heads of in-demand players, it has had a very negative impact on their performances.
However, Jean-Ricner Bellegarde seems to have been inspired by the Wolves’ interest in him in this case. These rumors coincide with some of a man’s best performances of his career, showing that at the age of 25, he is deserving of a lucrative move across the Channel.
According to Sky Sports, Wolves and Strasbourg have now reached an agreement. As the Molineux organization works to get Bellegarde in the door before tonight’s deadline of 11 p.m., club representatives are currently traveling to France.

Sky withholds specific pricing information for Wolves in relation to the former France U21 international. However, Ligue 1 writer Nabil Djellit claims that Strasbourg will be enticed by offers in the neighborhood of £14 million because his contract is up in less than a year.
Recently, Wolves made an offer that was almost half of that, but they now seem to have decided on a price that is more in line with Strasbourg’s demand.
While in the Black Country, Bellegarde has contributed to two goals and two others in Strasbourg’s first three games of the 2017 Ligue 1 campaign. Even against Lyon, the former Lens star struck a spectacular free kick winner.
Interesting enough, Wolves also wanted to sign Habib Diarra, Bellegarde’s teammate in the midfield.
Marc Keller, the president of Strasbourg, is quick to emphasize out that Diarra will not go at this time.
“I can confirm that Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an official offer to us for Habib Diarra. I graciously declined. Keller informs Dernieres Nouvelles d’Alsace that Habib won’t depart.
“I have stated from the beginning that our objective is to develop a competitive squad and make future plans. The Racing Mutest Academy has been training a child named Habib. He is aware that we depend on him as one of our players.
