Dharmesh Sheth drops a teasing Hammers transfer update before Luton clash

West Ham might ‘pull a rabbit out of the hat’ with a £25 million signing at London Stadium.

According to rumors, West Ham manager David Moyes appears to be planning a surprise deadline-day bid for a new winger.

Despite the Hammers’ Premier League match against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road taking place tonight, West Ham United manager David Moyes could surprise everyone by signing Juventus winger Filip Kostic on Deadline Day, according to Sky Sports writer Dharmesh Sheth, who spoke to GIVEMESPORT.

Filip Kostic has been transferred to West Ham.

The 30-year-old Kostic only joined the Old Lady last year from Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee somewhere in the neighborhood of £14 million, according to Calciomercato, and time is reportedly running out for Juventus to find a new home for the player.

However, the Italian publication claims that Juventus is losing faith in its attempts to offload the Serbian international and that its confidence in being able to let Kostic leave has diminished to a “flicker.” In addition, it’s thought that they want to approve a loan agreement with a necessary buyout provision of about €15 million in the case that the Kragujevac-born star leaves the Allianz Stadium before the transfer deadline.

The Evening Standard, which has a somewhat different perspective on events, reports that West Ham are “continuing to push” to sign Kostic, but they also claim that Juventus have so far rejected any offers for the player in issue.

Kostic is not the only player that West Ham manager David Moyes is looking at to boost his left-hand side, as writer Dean Jones said in a recent interview with GIVEMESPORT.

Exactly what did Dharmesh Sheth have to say about Filip Kostic?

According to Sky Sports reporter Sheth, who spoke with GIVEMESPORT, West Ham might very well surprise everyone on Deadline Day by bringing Kostic to the London Stadium.

“Filip Kostic is an interesting one, too; he’s not getting any games with Juventus,” Sheth said to GMS. Juventus reportedly wants to pay between £20 million and £25 million for him. West Ham attempted to sign him around this time last year before he ultimately joined Juventus, but we don’t believe they want to pay that much for him simply because he’s 30 and they know he’s out of favor there.

“They saw firsthand how outstanding a player he is because he was a member of the Eintracht Frankfurt squad that won the Europa League and defeated West Ham United in the semifinals on the way there. West Ham has a game tonight against Luton Town, so their entire attention will be on that game. Let’s see if something can happen and they can pull a rabbit out of a hat on deadline day.
