Hull City manager praises Leeds United’s’really smart’ summer decision ahead of Championship encounter.

Liam Rosenior, the manager of Hull City, has spoken before of his team’s game against Leeds United on Wednesday.

Liam Rosenior, manager of Hull City, says Leeds United made a’really smart option’ in choosing Daniel Farke as manager following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last season.

The former Norwich City manager signed a four-year contract at Elland Road in early July. Farke led the Canaries to promotion twice, garnering praise for the style of play he was able to implement at Carrow Road.

After a 3-0 win at Millwall on Sunday afternoon, the Whites have nine points from their first six Championship games under the German.

Leeds will travel to East Yorkshire to face Hull City, who are fifth in the table with 11 points after three victories, two draws, and one loss to start the season.

In anticipation of the match, Rosenior praised Leeds’ choice to hire Farke, saying BBC Radio Humberside: “He is fantastic.” I covered his time at Norwich, and they played some fantastic football. Excellent coach.

“They [Leeds] made a great choice with him.” They are well-organized and know exactly how they want to play under him. The same as us. It’s going to be an extremely enjoyable game. I’m looking forward to competing with him.”

Rosenior anticipates a boisterous atmosphere as the Yorkshire rivals clash in Hull on Wednesday night and hopes his men will rise to the occasion.

The former Hull player was in the stands to see Leeds’ win against Millwall, in which Joel Piroe scored twice and Georginio Rutter added a third – and he is wary of the Whites’ attacking threats.

“It means a lot to us as a club, and it means a lot to the fans,” he continued. It is critical that we put on a show worthy of the event. I went to see them play Millwall yesterday. They are a very good team with numerous attacking threats on the field, as one would expect.

“We have to go in knowing we are a good team that has started the season extremely well.” We need to play at a high speed and with a lot of intensity. We want to have a fantastic night. Leeds United and we are both huge clubs. Geographically, there are bragging rights; as a player here, I played in a couple games versus Leeds, and they are distinct.

“I’m excited to see how my players react to the environment.” The fans will be wonderful, and the atmosphere will be electric.”
