Fabio Silva believes the ‘greatest’ reason he stayed at Molineux is the Wolves player.

Fabio Silva came perilously close to quitting Wolves this summer, but he has now revealed the main reason he stayed.

Silva appeared to be ready for a summer sale after his move to Molineux did not go as planned.

Last season’s success on loan demonstrated that he might be a valuable player for the appropriate team.

Silva had stated his intention to leave in interviews with Express and Star.

“But, of course, I was on the verge of leaving.” My agent looked for the best alternative outside of Wolves since last season was fantastic for me outside of the club and I wanted to continue this progression.”

Silva credits Matt Hobbs with providing him a reason to stay at Old Gold, and he explains why below.

Hobbs on Silva

Matt Hobbs is the Wolves’ sporting director, and he has a good relationship with the players.

This was something Silva brought up when explaining why he didn’t leave.

“I had several chats with these four people. More with Matt Hobbs, who was a significant reason I stayed at Wolves because of the way he talked to me and attempted to influence my mind, my ideas.

“Perhaps I wouldn’t be here to speak with you if it weren’t for him.”

“I have to give credit to Matt Hobbs because he’s one of the best parts for me to stay here.”

The secondary reasons for his stay

Continuing the interview, Silva stated that, while Hobbs was the primary reason for his retention, there were several other considerations at play.

“I wanted to keep playing so I could be happy and contribute to the team.” But once these three people (talked to me), as well as Gary (O’Neil), who is excellent and given me the courage to begin, I wanted to stay.

“Of course, there are the fans.” I can’t forget about the fans since they are always pushing me.”

We are excited for his future at Wolves as he begins to establish himself in the first team.
