Dave Edwards feels that if Wolves winger Pedro Neto continues to perform like this, every Premier League club will be interested in signing him.

The 23-year-old made headlines again on Saturday when he scored his first goal of the season against Luton Town.

In the second half, Neto gave Wolves the lead against the flow of play.

He beat the defender to a through ball from Joao Gomes, jinked inside, and smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

It was a goal from a player who was exuding confidence at the time.

Neto has previously contributed four assists in the Premier League.

His form is tremendously encouraging, but Edwards sees a possible issue if things continue as they are…

Dave Edwards anticipates strong interest in Wolves winger Pedro Neto

Edwards discussed Neto in his recent Express & Star column.

He, like many others, is blown away by the Portuguese wideman, who was recently described as ‘unbelievable’ by Steve Bull.

However, Edwards is concerned that Wolves’ return to form would present problems in the future.

“The problem Wolves will face is that there will be so many suitors for Pedro Neto, with his age, potential, and pace, every club in the Premier League will be interested in him,” he says.

“Saturday was just another example of his talent, and it was a fantastic goal.” Luton were terrified of him.

“Each time he got the ball they did not know what to do.”

Neto’s goal was Wolves’ first in the Premier League since May 2022, when he scored against Liverpool.

Edwards makes an excellent point: Neto will draw attention.

It’s fantastic to watch Neto get back to his best for Wolves.

He’s had a rough couple of years due to injuries, which is a tragedy given his talent as a footballer and his charm as a human being.

He’s been outstanding in the first few weeks of the new season.

Edwards makes an excellent point.

The main disadvantage to Neto’s performance is that he will very certainly be receiving interest from other clubs. Arsenal has been linked to the player on several occasions in the past.

He might very well be the next big sale at Molineux.

Hopefully, that won’t happen until the following summer timeframe.
