SAD NEWS: Leeds United ace undergo urgent surgery injury and he will be out of the season…..

Raphinha of Leeds United provides an injury report that will affect Arsenal’s Carabao Cup match.
Arsenal face Leeds United in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, and the Whites have been heartened by Raphinha’s injury report.

Raphinha, a Leeds United winger, has resorted to social media to claim he is “fine” after colliding with Wolves defender Romain Saiss in Saturday’s 1-1 draw.

With three goals this season, the 24-year-old is the club’s leading scorer, and there was fear for Leeds fans when he went down under a strong push from Saiss.

He had to be assisted off the field by medical personnel before limping down the tunnel.

Since joining the Yorkshire club last October, the Brazil international has impressed, scoring six goals and assisting nine in his first season.

He’s had an equally impressive start to the season, with three goals in eight league matches, sparking transfer rumors linking Liverpool to the winger.

“Hello guys, just coming to say I’m fine,” the winger stated on the official Leeds United Twitter account after the game. It wasn’t anything serious, so I’ll be back shortly. Thank you for your messages and thoughts.”

Leeds will be encouraged by the news as they prepare to face Arsenal in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

The Gunners are coming off a 3-1 win over Aston Villa and will be trying to advance to the next round of the FA Cup. Mikel Arteta’s side defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-0 to get to the round of 16, while the Lilywhites had to overcome Crewe Alexandra before narrowly defeating Fulham on penalties to set up a clash at the Emirates.
