22-year-old star who got lost under Lopetegui admits he’s enjoying life under O’Neil.
Rayan Ait-Nouri, a Wolves defender, has revealed he is enjoying life at Molineux under Gary O’Neil.
The Algeria international has reflected on the first few weeks of the season, in which he has played a significant role.
Ait-Nouri has started every single one of Wolves’ eight Premier League games this season.
He has also appeared in two Carabao Cup matches.
It’s been a fantastic turnaround for Ait-Nouri, who struggled under Julen Lopetegui.
He missed a number of matchday squads at the conclusion of last season, and some speculated that he may depart the club in the summer due to interest from Nice.
To his credit, Ait-Nouri worked hard and made it back into the team – and he claims he’s having a great time under O’Neil…

He is now keeping Hugo Bueno out of the starting lineup, as well as Toti Gomes, who can play at left-back.
A happy Ait-Nouri told Wolves Weekly: “We have a good team.” The ambiance is excellent. We must continue.
“I’m overjoyed. This assurance comes from the gaffer. I want to give it my all. I need to keep going and get better. I’m extremely happy now, and I’m confident.”
Ait-Nouri acknowledges that he would rather attack than defend.
But he admits that he needs to work on his defense.
This season, Ait-Nouri has been a standout for Wolves.
Ait-Nouri deserves credit for how he has begun the current season.
Under Lopetegui, he truly lost his way, and several fans feared he would quit.
But he’s found fresh life under O’Neil, who seems to like the youngster.
He’s been significantly involved thus far, and maybe he can continue on his current path.
