Seminoles Star Drafted in First Round

In the 2024 NFL Draft, where will the Seminoles’ great wide receiver be drafted?

The college football season is coming to an end. Bowl season is in full swing, and the College Football Playoffs are just around the corner. There are also opt-out options for certain games. A slew of athletes are transferring, while others are declaring for the NFL Draft.

Keon Coleman, the top wide receiver for the Florida State Seminoles, is one of the probable opt-outs for the Orange Bowl versus the Georgia Bulldogs. Coleman, on the other hand, is headed to the 2024 NFL Draft rather than the transfer portal.

Coleman isn’t just headed to test his luck in the NFL, either. He’s projected to be quite a selection for an NFL team.

With the NFL season nearing the end and the college football scene in the midst of a chaotic transfer portal cycle, now is an excellent time for 2024 NFL mock drafts. Matt Miller of ESPN has revised his first-round mock draft.

In his mock draft, he has the New Orleans Saints selecting Coleman at pick No. 13, opting for them to take a first-round receiver rather than a quarterback.

“A quarterback of the future would be lovely here — Derek Carr has 13 touchdown passes to seven interceptions this season — but the value simply isn’t there,” Miller said in a statement. “Instead, the Saints can acquire a top-tier running partner for Chris Olave.” Coleman is a 6-foot-4 pass-catcher with the explosiveness to serve as FSU’s top punt returner. When he has the ball in his hands and is attacking opponents on 50-50 balls, the former prep basketball star stands out.”

Coleman is a dynamic receiver who has the ability to change a game. When paired with Olave, whoever the Saints’ quarterback is next season will have a very versatile and good receiving corps to pass the ball to.

Coleman caught 50 catches for 658 yards and 11 receiving touchdowns for the Seminoles this season as they went 13-0 and won the ACC Championship.
