Wolves one of three Premier League teams ‘interested in’ Championship star
Wolves are now one of three Premier League clubs attempting to capture Southampton’s Che Adams.
Sky Sports News claimed yesterday that three undisclosed Premier League clubs were interested in Adams.
The 27-year-old has one year left on his contract at St. Mary’s Stadium, and this is Southampton’s last chance to obtain something for him before he leaves for nothing.
Adams recently stated that his emphasis for this season would be on Southampton, but given the scenario, the club may opt to sell.

Wolves ready to make fresh move for Che Adams, but have competition from two other PL clubs
It has been reported this morning by Sky’s Dharmesh Sheth that Wolves are indeed one of the three Premier League clubs looking to sign Adams this month.
He wrote on X: “Wolves 1 of 3 Premier League clubs interested in Southampton striker Che Adams. Adams into final six months of his contract. Wolves came close to signing Adams in the last transfer window. PSG’s Hugo Ekitike & West Ham’s Danny Ings also being looked at.”
The identity of the other two clubs remains a mystery for now.
Wolves, of course, attempted to sign Adams on transfer deadline day last summer, but the proposed move was blocked by Southampton at the eleventh hour.
Seemingly, Wanderers have been keeping tabs on him ever since, and could now swoop with Gary O’Neil determined to land a new centre-forward.
Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva have both gone out on loan and that really increases the need for a number nine. As little as they were both playing, an injury to either Matheus Cunha or Hwang Hee-chan would leave Wolves in a bit of trouble, so someone needs to come in.
Adams feels like the most likely incoming for Wolves
We’ve had mentions of Rafiu Durosinmi, Boulaye Dia, Danny Ings, Hugo Ekitike, and Chris Bedia so far this month, but Adams feels like the most likely new addition for Wolves.
Purely because he was someone the club really tried to land in the last window.
He’s a player who will not break the bank because of his contract situation, and that is going to appeal to Wolves considering the club are still mindful of Profit and Sustainability rules.
Ultimately, Adams – who Southampton signed for £15 million in 2019 – has Premier League experience and we have seen what Gary O’Neil has done so far at Molineux – if the manager wants him, then his judgment should be trusted.
