Liverpool predicted to complete ‘£99.45m’ deal by pundit after Inside Source reveal

Danny Mills has tipped Mohamed Salah to agree to a £425,000-a-week contract at Liverpool.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England full-back insisted Liverpool fans should not worry about the protracted nature of Salah‘s contract negotiations.

An Anfield source told Football Insider (October 29) Fenway Sports Group want to wrap up a new contract for their star man well before the January transfer window.

It is understood the winger wants a four-and-a-half-year deal on wages of £500,000-a-week.

A compromise of £425,000-a-week would see him earn an astonishing £99.45million over the course of the contract.

“It will be fine,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“The fact that they’ve started to negotiate. Who is going to pay Mo Salah more than that? Paris Saint-Germain, that’s it. Unless he wants to go and play in the middle east or something.

“There is a ceiling on everything. You can ask for a £1million-a-week, but you’re not going to get it. The higher you start, hopefully, you lift that bottom line a little bit further than where Liverpool are.

“If you ask for £400,000-a-week and they offer £350,000-a-week there’s a good chance you’re going to end up on £375,000-a-week.

“If you ask for £500,000-a-week and they offer £350,000-a-week there’s a good chance you’re going to end up on £425,000-a-week or maybe £400,000-a-week. That’s maybe where you wanted to be in the first place, it’s standard negotiations.

“There’s enough time, he’s clearly happy, he said he wants to stay now it’s just a case of come on, get it done.”
