Liverpool go into tonight’s game against Porto at Anfield knowing that they’re guaranteed top spot in Group B.

Four straight wins have ensured a comfortable passage into the last 16 for the six-time champions.

The situation has seen Liverpool question whether or not one or two stars will be rested tonight.

With Jurgen Klopp the consummate professional, however, he will want to claim maximum points this evening.

Here is a look at how Liverpool could line up tonight as they face Porto in the Anfield cauldron of noise.

Predicted Liverpool team to play Porto:

The Liverpool rearguard

Alisson Becker seems certain to start the game in goal as he looks to continue a strong run of form.

Trent Alexander-Arnold could start too, although Klopp might have some temptation to play Neco Williams.

There could be one change at centre-back, with Ibrahima Konate starting alongside Virgil van Dijk.

The £71,000-a-week star is yet to play in the Champions League for Liverpool so far this season.

Andy Robertson could return at left-back.

In midfield

Jordan Henderson could return in midfield after coming off the bench at the weekend.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was largely impressive against Arsenal and should keep his place.

So too should Fabinho who has been integral to Liverpool’s fortunes under Klopp.

Which Liverpool players will shoot Porto down?

Takumi Minamino has been in for some praise from Klopp and scored against Arsenal at the weekend.

As a result, he could be handed a starting berth against Porto this evening.

Mo Salah could be kept in the team in his usual spot on the right-hand side.

Through the middle, the Liverpool boss might hand a rare outing to Divock Origi who has also been knocking on the door.
