The January transfer window might have shut but Liverpool are seemingly looking at summer business already.

Liverpool couldn’t get the Fabio Carvalho deal over the line but they’re reportedly fixing to sign him in June.

Last month, there was also some speculation doing the rounds about a prospective Anfield move for Paulo Dybala.

Now, it looks as though the opportunity to sign the Juventus attacker has fallen right into Liverpool’s lap.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Dybala will reject the Italian club’s new contract offer.

And Liverpool and Manchester City have reportedly been contacted by his entourage – they’re currently standing by.

Sky Italia – via Football Italia – reported last month that Juve initially offered Dybala a new contract.

However, they reportedly rescinded that offer, and then wanted the Argentina international to take a pay cut.

Tancredi Palmieri, writing on TMW, has claimed that Dybala is fuming over Juve’s purported disrespect towards him.

The Bianconeri reportedly offered him a contract 25 percent lower than the original one, and inferior to his current deal.

In addition, Dybala is apparently unhappy that Juve ‘pulverised’ the piggybank to sign Dusan Vlahovic on an identical deal.

But while the 28-year-old’s eyes are ‘bloodshot with rage’ over Juve’s alleged treatment, he doesn’t want to ‘betray’ the fanbase.

This is why he hasn’t accepted Inter Milan’s offer, according to Palmieri.

Presumably, going to the Premier League instead of one of Juve’s rivals is a more palatable option for Dybala that the fans would be more willing to accept.

“He has the quality to win the Ballon d’Or”

Out of all the top players whose contracts will soon run out, Dybala is amongst the very best out there.

In 276 appearances for Juve, the £222,000-a-week ace has registered 111 goals and 46 assists.

He has also captained the team on several occasions.

Dybala’s CV is impressive – five Scudettos, four Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups.

“I feel he has become a complete player,” Alessandro Del Piero said in 2020.

And Massimiliano Allegri, upon returning to Juve, said: “Only Messi and Cristiano are better than Dybala. He has the quality to win the Ballon d’Or.”

Just imagine that – Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Dybala all at Klopp’s service.
