Liverpool are back in action this evening as they host Inter Milan in the second leg of their Champions League knockout clash.

The Reds are 2-0 up from the first leg having produced a fine display at the San Siro last month, with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah on the scoresheet.

Liverpool now need to finish off the job at Anfield and are certainly in the right form to do it.

Seven Premier League wins in a row and the Carabao Cup already in the trophy cabinet, Liverpool are red-hot right now.

Jurgen Klopp has been rotating his side regularly amid such a busy schedule, and we would expect tonight to be no different.

With that in mind, here is our predicted lineup as Liverpool prepare to take on Inter…

Whilst Caoimhin Kelleher was superb against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final, Alisson will surely start in the Liverpool goal.

Joel Matip wasn’t fit enough to play against West Ham United at the weekend, and whilst he is nearing a return, this game may come too soon.

Ibrahima Konate would then be the favourite to join Virgil van Dijk at centre back, with Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the full back roles.

Fabinho would anchor the midfield with Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita joining him, just as they did against West Ham United.

Thiago is in a similar boat to Matip, meaning that whilst he could be back in the squad, a starting role would be a surprise for the Spaniard.

Diogo Jota will likely come back into the side after the £41million attacker came off the bench against West Ham.

Picking somebody to drop out won’t be easy, but we would guess that Luis Diaz may be the man to give way for Jota.

That would leave the Portuguese forward to join Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the Liverpool front line.

Diaz would be alongside the likes of Matip, Thiago and Kelleher on the Liverpool bench, hoping to make an impact as Liverpool face another big European night.

Predicted Liverpool lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Jota, Mane.
