‘Not wanted as PSG aim to reboot their team without the Brazilian’s £24m-a-year wages,’ says Neymar.

‘Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly informed Neymar that he will not be returning next season.’
In the summer of 2017, the Brazilian joined the French giants for nearly £200 million.

As part of a major reshuffle, President Nasser Al-Khelaifi fired Mauricio Pochettino.

He also re-signed Kylian Mbappe to a record-breaking contract worth £650,000 per week.

Neymar feels targeted by Al Khelaifi’s recent comments and is considering leaving the club.

The winger’s contract expires in 2025 and is worth around £24 million per year.

Both have reported suitors. Juventus and Barcelona may have difficulty raising funds.

Paris Saint-Germain have informed Neymar Junior that he is not wanted at the club ahead of the 2022-23 season, according to reports.

The French giants initiated a summer overhaul by axing Mauricio Pochettino and re-signing star forward Kylian Mbappe on a £650,000-a-week deal, which authorises him to have a meaningful say in the club’s wider decision-making.

Parc de Princes chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi has since lured football advisor Luis Campos to Paris and is close to agreeing terms with Nice manager Christophe Galtier

The French outlet claim that the Brazilian, who arrived in Paris for a world-record transfer fee of £199.8m in 2017, has been told he is no longer wanted at the club next season as PSG pursue a fresh start.

Neymar reportedly felt targeted by Al-Khelaifi earlier this summer as the club president spoke out to address PSG’s shortcoming last season.

‘A possible departure of Neymar this summer? What I can tell you is that we expect all players to do a lot more than last season. A lot more!’ Al Khelaifi told Le Parisien.

‘They all have to to be 100 per cent. Obviously, we weren’t good enough to go far. For next season, the objective is clear: to work every day at 200 per cent.

‘To give everything we have for this jersey, give the maximum and we will see the result.

‘You have to become humble again. You have to change to avoid injuries, suspensions and fouls that change a game.’

The winger netted 13 league goals in 22 appearances during PSG’s title-winning campaign last season, having suffered from an ankle injury between December and February.

However, Neymar once again failed to break the club’s Champions League title duck alongside star talents Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Marco Verratti.

The 30-year-old is reportedly considering an exit after five years at the club, and PSG now look set to agree in a bid to ease the wage bill.

However, with Neymar tied down at the Parc de Princes until 2025 on a £24m-a-year contract, potential suitors will have to empty their pockets should they wish to land the Brazil star.

According to Spanish outlet Sport last week, the French champions offered Barcelona the chance to sign him for £43m, although they are currently entrenched in financial complications.

Juventus were also believed to be interested in Neymar at the cut-price valuation, but the Italian giants have already had to offload free agents Giorgio Chiellini, Paulo Dybala and Federico Bernardeschi in an effort to match Paul Pogba’s £6.8m-per-year wage demands.
