According to reports, a key Tottenham player is set to leave the club at the end of the season, and the club intends to replace him with a £90 million player from Bayern Munich

Harry Kane could leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season, with Bayern Munich reportedly planning a £90 million bid for the England captain next summer.

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Khan has hinted that the club is planning a £90 million swoop for Harry Kane next summer.

Tottenham’s 29-year-old striker has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions for some time, with the club seeing him as the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who joined Barcelona in July.

In an interview with Sky Sports Germany, Khan admitted that Bayern was considering “many players,” but he singled out England captain Joe Hart in the latest indication that an official approach could be on the cards.

“Of course, [Kane is] a very good player, but there are also many other very good players. I’ve read [rumors] everywhere – Oliver Kahn and Harry Kane, Hasan [Salihamidzic, sporting director] and Harry Kane,” Khan said.

“We’re considering many, many players and it’s not okay to talk about players who are under contract at other clubs.”Kane, who hasn’t won a single major trophy, is under contract at Tottenham until 2024 but could push for an exit if Bayern ramps up its interest, especially if Antonio Conte’s side fails to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Tottenham resisted Manchester City’s advances last year and kept hold of Kane following a lengthy transfer saga, despite the striker making it clear he wanted to leave.

Talk of a departure has since died down, especially with City signing Erling Haaland, though Bayern’s interest may change things, and with Kane entering his 30s next year Daniel Levy might see £90m as an offer he can’t refuse.
