Fabrizio Romano says £60m talent Tottenham reportedly wanted is now about to sign for club

Tottenham Hotspur was rumored to be interested in signing Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, but it appears that they will miss out on his services.

The 16-year-old Palmeiras center-forward is considered one of the best prospects in South America right now. He was wanted by a slew of clubs, but Real Madrid appears to be on the verge of landing him for a hefty fee.

Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham target Endrick is about to join Real Madrid

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola revealed a couple of months ago that Spurs wanted to sign Endrick, while the BBC claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City are among many other clubs who are interested as well.

Fellow Brazilians like Richarlison, Gabriel Martinelli, and even Gabriel Jesus came to the Premier League when they were very young and have become big stars today.

All the interested English sides would’ve been hoping for that to convince Endrick, but it looks like the teenager has accepted a proposal from another huge club – Real Madrid.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Twitter that Real Madrid has agreed on personal terms with Endrick. His deal is set to cost over £60 million (€70m), and the Galacticos plan on completing the transfer very, very soon.

It was always unlikely that Tottenham was going to sign Endrick ahead of all the other clubs interested in him.

Spurs have shown in recent years that they are willing to spend big on talented players, but even the most optimistic Tottenham supporter would’ve known that Daniel Levy wouldn’t have signed off over £60 million on a 16-year-old – no matter how good he is.

It will be interesting to see how Endrick will fare in Europe when he moves to Real Madrid.

The likes of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo are shining at the Santiago Bernabeu, and it won’t surprise us one bit if Endrick ends up doing the same in a few years’ time.
