‘Surely,’ says Lineker, who believes a Spurs player has forced his way into Conte’s starting lineup.

According to Gary Lineker, Antonio Conte will have no choice but to start Richarlison after the forward’s impressive performances at the World Cup.

Brazil has arguably been one of the best teams on show in Qatar until this point and has lived up to their favorite tag so far.

Richarlison has not only been Selecao’s top scorer with three goals in the tournament but he has also led the line impressively, showing his ability to hold up the ball and the abundance of energy he has to press the opposition.

The 25-year-old’s goal against South Korea was one of the best team goals of the tournament, with the forward starting the move with some lovely close control, and putting the finishing touches on the move after being played through on goal.

Richarlison has been in and out of Spurs’ starting eleven in the first part of the campaign but Lineker believes that is about to change when the campaign resumes.

Here’s what he tweeted following the Tottenham man’s goal against South Korea:

It is not as if Richarlison was just a squad player in the first part of the campaign. It is worth remembering that Conte even dropped Kulusevski for the Brazilian for a few games at the start of the season, much to the annoyance of some Spurs fans.

So, there is no doubt that Richarlison will continue to get plenty of game time. The big question is whether Conte will deploy the 25-year-old as a number nine more often and be prepared to rest Kane for a few matches.
