Antonio Conte was astonished and deeply moved by the 21-year-old Tottenham player.

Youngsters Pape Matar Sarr and Harvey White have received praise from Tottenham manager Antonio Conte.

Conte was questioned about any players who surprised him during the World Cup break during his pre-match news conference prior to the encounter with Aston Villa.

Sarr participated in the competition with Senegal, who lost to England 3-0 in the round of 16 and saw him enter the game against them.

White, 21, was present at the club, and Conte claimed that the academy grad’s intelligence and versatility had astounded and impressed him.

Conte compliments White and Sarr
You’re absolutely correct, Conte said. For me and my staff, working with the players—especially the young players who didn’t participate in the World Cup—was a terrific opportunity.

“Pape Sarr played in the World Cup, but two weeks before to that, he returned and collaborated with us. I consider Pape Sarr to be a very promising prospect, and I enjoyed working with him for two weeks following the World Cup.

Additionally, Harvey White was a pleasant surprise because he is a young but incredibly smart player who can play in any position on the field with ease.

The issue for the Spurs’ future is that Conte is a win-now manager who often favors seasoned players and immediate objectives.

That means that while Conte is in charge, it will be very difficult for players like Sarr and White to become established members of the Spurs team.

However, if they can win over such a picky boss, it bodes well for their fledgling careers, even if one or both of them might be headed for a loan period next.
