According to rumors, Liverpool is looking for a new midfielder and may try to recruit Brighton’s Alexis MacAllister.

According to the Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, MacAllister is on Liverpool’s list of prospective targets as the Reds continue to compete with Real Madrid for Jude Bellingham.

One of the World Cup’s biggest talents, Mac Allister, emerged in Qatar. The Brighton star, who helped Argentina win the competition, has since caught the attention of other teams, including Arsenal.

According to 90Min, Brighton may want up to £50 million before considering selling Mac Allister. The Seagulls are in a strong position since they are not under any pressure to sell.

As the struggle for Bellingham intensifies, Mac Allister is viewed as a potential candidate for Liverpool. Enzo Fernandez appears to have been passed over by the Reds and may now be headed to Chelsea.

Mac Allister’s reputation as a midfielder is at an all-time high right now after Adam Lallana called him “amazing.” A trade in January cannot be ruled out, especially with Liverpool having shown they are ready to pay by acquiring Cody Gakpo.

Mac Allister is not Bellingham, but he fits Liverpool, in TBR’s opinion.
If you’re a club like Liverpool, having alternative objectives in mind is always a smart idea. However, Alexis Mac Allister is not Jude Bellingham, let’s face it.

Yes, he might be a little less expensive, but Bellingham will probably have a bigger influence at Anfield for years to come.

Not that he wouldn’t benefit or help this Liverpool team. They are in need of a midfielder, and Mac Allister proved last winter with Argentina how valuable he is. But if Bellingham is the final aim and he’s still a possibility, they’ll have to go all out for the Englishman.
