Klopp demands that Liverpool sign a midfielder for £21.9 million – Report

As per the latest reports going on in the media, Liverpool is heavily linked with Portuguese international and Wolves midfielder, Ruben Neves.

The Reds have only earned a single point from the last three Premier League games and need to reinforce their aging midfield to push for a place in the top four.

According to a Spanish source, Nacional, Jurgen Klopp has demanded Liverpool secure the signing of Neves from the West Midlands side.

The Catalan media outlet has mentioned that Barcelona has been interested in hiring the services of the Seleccao midfielder but the situation has now changed.

It is reported that Nou Camp boss, Xavi Hernandez, is not quite interested in the Premier League star and instead, the Spanish coach wants to secure the signing of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

In such a case, Klopp intends to capitalize and has asked the Liverpool board to initiate talks in order to entice Neves.

Wolves have set a relatively low price of 25 million euros (£21.9 million) for the former Liga Nos midfielder’s current deal at the Molineux, which expires in 18 months.

The versatile midfielder can play in a variety of positions, has extensive Premier League and international experience, and is in his prime years (25 years old).

Liverpool has looked like a shadow of themselves in recent weeks, and they need key players to regain fitness and strengthen the midfield in the January window if they are to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Should Klopp offer £21.9 million to sign Ruben Neves, in your opinion?
