Leicester City has been given permission to sign Harry Souttar in January of next year.

Leicester City is working its way down a fan-approved shortlist after securing their transfer priority.

Leicester City fans have given their approval to the club’s January transfer strategy.

Brendan Rodgers has made just one signing in the transfer window, bringing in FC Copenhagen defender Victor Kristiansen.

Kristiansen became City’s second outfield signing in 18 months, joining in a deal worth up to £17 million, justifying Foxes fans’ decision to put him at the top of their January transfer targets.

When asked to rank seven potential January additions in order of priority, Kristiansen came in just ahead of their nearest rival Harry Souttar.

And the fact that Leicester is reportedly working on a deal to sign the Australia and Stoke City center-back indicates that Rodgers understands where the squad needs to be strengthened.

Kristiansen and Souttar finished well ahead of the shortlist’s third-placed player, Azzedine Ounahi, who was linked with the Foxes at the end of 2022.

Leicester, on the other hand, appears to have been priced out of the market as the Angers midfielder’s valuation skyrocketed.

A move for Atalanta winger Jeremie Boga was also discussed, but there appears to be little appetite for his signing among Foxes fans, with the Atalanta winger finishing a distant fourth on our shortlist.

And few Leicester fans will be sad if Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkoz completes a rumored move to Leeds United this month – the AZ Alkmaar 19-year-old finished dead last in the Rank Your Targets poll.
