After seeing new heartwarming footage, £34 million player sends an Instagram message to Dele Alli.

News of a Dele Alli goal might please some Tottenham Hotspur and Everton supporters.

The former Spurs midfielder made the most of a very rare start for Besiktas on Friday evening.

Alli scored his third goal since joining the Turkish outfit on loan from Everton.

He bagged the last goal in a 3-0 victory over Alanyaspor, with former Toffees hitman Cenk Tosun scoring the first two of the evening.

In celebration, Alli, who only left Tottenham 12 months ago, crossed both legs and stuck two fingers in his ears – perhaps a message that he wasn’t listening to his detractors in Turkey.

Here’s how the player reacted on Instagram afterward:

Alex Iwobi, a £34 million signing by Everton in 2019 [BBC Sport], was among the players to respond.

The former Arsenal winger wrote: “Geeski!” in a message of support for his teammate at Finch Farm.

Okay, so it wasn’t a classic Dele Alli goal, as the England international capitalized on a loose backpass to round off the scoring yesterday.

But when you’ve gone from Spurs to Everton, to Besiktas – and even they’re booing you off, as covered by HITC Sport in December – then any goal is a significant one and it’ll be interesting to see if this can be a springboard back to his best.
