‘Too much’: David Seaman predicts who’ll win Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle

David Seaman has predicted on the Seaman Says podcast that Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United will win against Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the Premier League on Friday evening.

The Arsenal legend believes that Newcastle will pick up all three points from the encounter against Forest courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Forest and Newcastle will kick horns with each other this evening.

The Reds are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, while Newcastle could end up in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

Former Chelsea striker and BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has also backed Newcastle to win against Forest.

DAVID SEAMAN PREDICTS NOTTINGHAM FOREST V NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Seaman said: “As much as the crowd gets behind Forest, I think Newcastle are going to have too much for them.

“Newcastle is coming off the back of a win, so I am going to go for a 2-1 Newcastle win.”

Sutton wrote on BBC Sport: “It smells a bit like a draw to me, but Newcastle need the win and Forest can’t play Chris Wood [who is on loan from the Magpies] and also have issues at the back.

“Forest hasn’t lost at the City Ground in the league since the middle of September but I think that run ends here.

“Sutton’s prediction: 0-1.”

HITC VERDICT: NEWCASTLE WILL BEAT NOTTINGHAM FOREST

In our view, Newcastle United will win against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Newcastle has the better team, and even though they are the visiting side, we believe that they will have enough to get the better of Forest.

Now, of course, the Reds will make it hard for the Magpies, but Newcastle won against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend and will be big favorites to pick up all three points at the City Ground tonight.
