Report: Tottenham has signed ‘top-class’ goalkeeper for £35m

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, and one of the players on the radar of Spurs and the Red Devils is Brentford star, David Raya.

Raya has been superb for Brentford in the Premier League and has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the English top flight.

One of the reasons why the Bees have done so well in the Premier League is because of Raya between the sticks.

The 27-year-old Spain international is very good with the ball at his feet, makes good saves, is a leader at the back, commands his area well, and is reliable.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur want Brentford goalkeeper David Raya

So, we are not supposed at all that Tottenham and Manchester United are keen on Raya.

The Spurs need to find a new and younger goalkeeper to eventually replace Hugo Lloris.

David de Gea is the number one goalkeeper at United, but the Spaniard is not getting any younger and also makes costly errors.

In March, TEAMtalk reported that Tottenham is interested in Raya.

The report added that Raya, described as “a top-class goalkeeper” by former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen on Premier League Productions (06/03/23 at 7:35 pm), has made it clear to Brentford that he will not sign a new contract.

GiveMeSport has claimed that United is keen on the Spaniard.

Transfer fee needed to sign Raya

The Sun now has an update on the situation of the goalkeeper.

The report has claimed that the Bees “fear” that Raya will leave at the end of the season.

The London club is willing to sell the goalkeeper, but they want £35 million for him.

The Sun has claimed that Manchester United are interested in the Spaniard.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham or United are willing to cough up £35 million for Raya.
