The 25-year-old left-back arrived at the City Ground on a season-long loan after falling down the pecking order at the Metropolitan Stadium and quickly cemented his place in Steve Cooper’s team.

Lodi now has 27 league appearances under his belt for the Reds, who have an option to buy the Brazilian for €30m (around £25m) in the summer.

Having retained their Premier League status with victory over Arsenal at the City Ground on Saturday, Forest are already considering their player options ahead of next season, and they are said to be looking at a move for Lodi, according to the Telegraph.

However, they are not keen on his asking price and will “try to lower” the proposed fee

Lodi was seen crying on the City Ground pitch after Forest had defeated the title-chasing Gunners 1-0 to secure survival.

Nottingham Forest will reportedly attempt to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson this summer.

The 26-year-old saw his loan at the City Ground cut short after suffering a thigh muscle tear during the win over Leicester City back in January. He has been sidelined ever since and recently had surgery.

Reports claim Henderson is expected to push for an Old Trafford exit this summer after failing to establish himself at United.

With current United number one David de Gea out of contract at the end of the season, Henderson might not be completely out of the Old Trafford picture. But Forest is looking to sign him permanently after being impressed with his services, according to the Telegraph, and they say the player is also keen to make the move.

Keylor Navas the former Real Madrid star brought in to cover for Henderson in January, will return to parent club Paris Saint-Germain once the season is over.
