A number of clubs, including Leeds United, are interested in signing a fantastic player who earns $92,000,000 every week.

Leeds United is among a host of clubs eyeing a move for Gil Vicente striker Fran Navarro this summer.

That is according to TeamTalk, who claim Leicester City, Fulham, and Brentford are also keeping tabs on his sit

uation after an excellent season in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Navarro – who was wanted by both Real Madrid and Liverpool as a teenager back in his Valencia days – is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract in Portugal.

The 25-year-old has scored 20 goals across all competitions for Gil Vicente this season, including 16 in 33 in the league for a side towards the lower end of the table.

Leeds eye move for Fran Navarro

It is reported that any potential pursuit by Leeds and Leicester will rely on them staying in the Premier League, with both currently sat in the bottom three in the final week of the season.

That said, given his contract situation and the club in which he is coming from, he is unlikely to command a huge fee and the chance to lead either side to an immediate return to the top-flight could also be tempting for Navarro.

Regardless of the division, Leeds are playing in next season, the addition of at least one new out-and-out number nine will be imperative this summer.

It is always a risk bringing in players from abroad to a physically demanding league like the Championship, but many of Burnley’s signings last summer were from overseas and they romped to the title.

In the event of relegation, Leeds would almost certainly lose Rodrigo Moreno, while Patrick Bamford can no longer be relied on to play regularly.

A prolific striker should be at the top of Leeds’ wishlist and Navarro is among the early names to be linked with an Elland Road switch.
