The 24-year-old is set to undergo a medical with the Midlands club next week ahead of the deal being finalized.

Football Insider understands that Leeds has accepted a seven-figure bid for Roberts, with the deal also set to include add-ons that could increase the fee.

The Wales international has one year remaining on his contract at Elland Road and was deemed surplus to requirements having last played for the club in March 2022.

Roberts spent last year on loan at Championship strugglers Queens Park Rangers where he made 20 appearances across all competitions and scored four times.

Roberts started the 2022/23 campaign as a regular starter for the London club, featuring in 11 of their first 14 Championship matches.

But a calf injury over the winter break and the arrival of Gareth Ainsworth as manager saw his game time drastically decrease in the second half of the season.

Roberts first joined Leeds in 2018 and he has gone on to make a total of 108 appearances for the club, scoring nine and assisting 10 times.

He played 51 times for the Yorkshire club in the Championship and played a role in their promotion to the Premier League in the 2019/20 season.

Roberts has also been a Wales regular since his international debut in 2018 – he has made 20 caps for the nation and is yet to score for them.
