Tottenham amazing young star has been signed by Saudi Arabia on a three-year contract

90 min have claimed that Hugo Lloris is considering offers from Saudi Arabia, as well as from across Europe.

It has been an open secret for a while that Lloris is on his way out of Tottenham this summer, with the Lilywhites snapping up Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli to take over the number one shirt.

Spurs seemingly confirmed that the Frenchman’s 11-year spell at the club is coming to an end when they announced last week that the club captain has not travelled with the squad to Australia so that he can explore ‘transfer opportunities’.

Lloris himself has also confirmed that he wants to seek a new adventure away from Tottenham this summer (Nice-Matin).

It was reported by The Telegraph last week that Lloris already has three offers on the table.

Lloris is considering a switch to Saudi Arabia

90 min have now claimed that the experienced goalkeeper has offers from Saudi Arabia, which he is currently studying.

However, it is explained that Lloris also has several offers from around Europe, with the 36-year-old said to be ‘keen’ to explore the options to remain in the continent.

I would be surprised if Lloris made the move to Saudi Arabia as he is not one to be motivated by money. I suspect that the goalkeeper is exploring opportunities to return to Ligue 1.

Spurs could decide to terminate his contract in order to make a move back to France easier for their long-serving captain.

This decision comes as a blow to Tottenham Hotspur, who were keen on bolstering their defensive options ahead of the upcoming season. The 26-year-old has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Tottenham showing a strong interest in securing his services.

Ko Itakura has made it clear that he intends to stay at Borussia Monchengladbach. This news will undoubtedly provide a significant boost to the German outfit, as they retain the services of a talented and reliable defender.

With rumours swirling about the potential departures of Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga, and Eric Dier from Tottenham, the North London club finds itself in urgent need of defensive reinforcements.

Last season, Spurs conceded a disappointing 63 goals in the league, highlighting the glaring issues within their backline. If they are to mount a serious challenge for a top-four finish and compete for major honours, it is imperative that they address these defensive deficiencies.

Itakura’s decision to snub Tottenham’s advances means that the club must now shift their focus to alternative targets. While the Japanese international would have undoubtedly been a valuable addition to their squad, Spurs must explore other avenues to strengthen their defensive unit.

The Tottenham faithful will undoubtedly be eager to see the club make shrewd and astute signings during the transfer window. A solid defensive signing could provide the stability and resilience that the team desperately needs.

As the new season approaches, the pressure mounts on Tottenham to rectify their defensive shortcomings. The absence of Ko Itakura from their potential signings list may have disappointed some fans, but there is still hope for a successful recruitment drive.

Itakura is a talented player whose quality we could use. However, let’s see who they turn out to be next.
