TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR NOW WANTS TO SIGN A ‘VERY EXCITING’ PLAYER FROM ARSENAL

Tottenham Hotspur has been linked with a shock move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Folarin Balogun from North London rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The Italian publication has claimed that Spurs are looking at Balogun as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.

Sky Sports have reported that England international striker Kane is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich in a £100 million move.

Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Inter Milan are keen on USA international striker Balogun, and so are Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

The report has added that Arsenal want €55 million (£47.50 million) in transfer fees for the 22-year-old striker.

Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey rates Balogun highly, and he told The Sun in June that the striker is “a very exciting player” and is “good enough for the Premier League”.

Folarin Balogun from Arsenal to Tottenham Hotspur is unlikely

In our opinion, it is unlikely that Tottenham Hotspur will be able to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal and Tottenham are bitter North London rivals.

While there have been occasions when players have turned out for both teams, it is not often that the two clubs have sold players to each other.

Now, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may not think that Balogun is good enough to lead the line for his team week in and week out.

Gabriel Jesus is the first-choice striker at the Gunners.

However, Arteta will be well aware of the quality that the striker has, especially after his exploits in France last season.

During his loan spell at Reims last season, the youngster scored 21 goals and gave two assists in 34 Ligue 1 starts.

Arsenal would be making Tottenham stronger by selling them Balogun.

Moreover, you have to wonder if the striker himself would be willing to cross the North London divide.
