Wolves shot stopper has been nominated for a Premier League award.

Jose Sa of Wolves has been nominated for the Premier League’s August Save of the Month award.

The save in issue occurred on August 26th at Goodison Park, when Wolves gained their first victory of the season, thanks in large part to Sa’s clean sheet.

With the score equal in the second half, Abdoulaye Doucoure’s header into the ground at the back post was destined to go in, but Sa, returning towards his own goal, miraculously turned the ball over the crossbar.

That save came in handy later in the day, when Sasa Kalajdzic scored off a Pedro Neto cross.

The Wolves goalkeeper is up against Guglielmo Vicario, Mark Flekken, Alphonse Areola, Alisson Becker, and Jordan Pickford, who all made saves in the same game.

Wolves fans may vote for Sa by visiting here before the winner is announced at 2pm on Friday, September 15th.

According to reports, Arsenal will rekindle their interest in Pedro Neto in January.

According to a source, Arsenal could rekindle their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Pedro Neto during the January transfer window.

The Gunners spent more than £200 million on four summer signings, beginning with Declan Rice and continuing with the purchases of Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber, while David Raya came on loan from Brentford.

Arsenal’s frontline, which also features Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Reiss Nelson, has been reinforced by the signing of Havertz, who can play in both attack and midfield.

However, it is believed that head coach Mikel Arteta was open to bringing in a new winger this summer to compete with star man Saka, who has started 84 consecutive league appearances for the Gunners.

Arsenal, who will soon be juggling Champions League and domestic football, are long-term admirers of Wolves winger Neto, who has spent the last four years at Molineux.

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal enquired about Neto’s availability this summer after passing on him a year ago when he was valued at around £50 million.

Although Neto’s summer move to the Emirates Stadium was unsuccessful, a separate BirminghamLive article indicates that Wolves are preparing for renewed interest from the North Londoners in the January transfer window.

Neto has made 115 appearances for Wolves since signing from Braga in the summer of 2019, scoring 11 goals and tallying 16 assists.

Neto has been hindered by injuries in the last two seasons, with an ankle injury limiting him to just 18 Premier League matches in 2022-23.

a three-cap Since then, the Portugal international has played the entire 90 minutes in each of Wolves’ first four Premier League games of the season, and he has provided three assists in his past two appearances.

Wolves manager Gary O’Neil is reportedly mulling a winter-window exodus to help produce funds for a new striker and balance the books amid Financial Fair Play worries, and Neto might be one of the players to leave if an acceptable offer is received.

Captain Max Kilman, Jose Sa, Hugo Bueno, and Rayan Ait-Nouri were all linked with moves away from Molineux in the summer and might be targets for a number of clubs in January.

Neto has a contract with Wolves until the summer of 2027 and is presently with the Portugal squad ahead of Euro 2024 qualifiers against Slovakia and Luxembourg this week.
