NEWS UPDATE: Spurs has now agreed to sign three new players and it may cost more than £150m

It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to make an eye-catching move for three players in an effort to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

The latest Tottenham Hotspur news…

Spurs have not lost a single game in their opening eight top-flight games this season, with six wins and two draws to their name under manager Ange postecoglou.

Luton became the latest club to lose to Tottenham on Saturday, despite the hosts playing the whole second half with 10 men after being given a red card for simulation in the final minutes of the first half.

However, Football Insider reports that both Tottenham and West Ham could be in for a surprise when it comes to signing Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher. The 26-year-old could be set to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, despite both clubs being interested in him in the summer.

Galloway is out of contract with the Blues in the summer of 2025, but Tottenham may now have to look elsewhere following the England international’s resurgence under his former club’s manager.

According to reports from Turkey, Spurs have sent scouts to Manchester United to take a look at Turkish starlet Kerem Akturkoglu, who has been linked with a return to Tottenham in January.

It has also been reported that Perisic has agreed a deal with former club Hjordjuk Split to return to his native country.

The 33-year-old is currently out of action with a serious knee injury and is unlikely to return to the pitch for his former employers, and could potentially leave in January.

Latest Tottenham Hotspur news: Mikel merino, victor osimhen and edmond tapsoba

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad, according to a report in Spain.

Spurs could look to use Merino’s quality and eye for goal in the engine room, along with James Maddison and Mamadou Bissouma.

The report comes ahead of next summer’s transfer window.

On the other end of the scale, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is said to be on the list, as well as Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond tapsoba; however, according to the outlet, Tapsoba could cost more than €170 million, meaning it could go beyond £150 million if Merino’s fee is also taken into account.

Of the three reported signings, it’s probably Osimhen who stands out the most, and that’s saying a lot considering he’s scored 64 goals and assisted 15 in 110 appearances across all competitions for Napoli so far this season.

Merino, on the other hand, is a Real Sociedad player who, according to WhoScored, averaged 7.12 / 10 in 2023 / 24 for his club and national sides, showing he’s a dependable and consistent player in the centre of the park.

For Real Sociedad in La Liga, he has recovered an average of 6.5 balls a game, demonstrating his ability to do the dirty work in the middle of the park when needed, according to Sofascore, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting year in the transfer market.
