Wolves has made a surprising choice on a £10 million player Gary O’Neil truly likes

Wolves have made a choice on a £10 million player Gary O’Neil truly likes following the scare on Sunday.

Rayan Ait-Nouri, who suffered an injury against Aston Villa, is staying with Wolves during the international break rather than joining Algeria.

The left-back was supposed to join his side for future games against Cape Verde and Egypt.

However, the 22-year-old did not play the entire game against Villa on Sunday.

At Molineux, he was taken off at halftime and replaced by Matt Doherty.

Wolves have declared Ait-Nouri unable to travel after the player suffered a concussion against Villa…

Rayan Ait-Nouri will remain with Wolves.

According to La Gazette du Fennec, Ait-Nouri will not be joining the Algeria national team.

Ait-Nouri is alleged to have suffered a concussion during the first half against Villa.

According to reports, Wolves medics advised the national team that the player could not travel due to tight regulations.

It’s another setback for manager Djamel Belmadi, who also had Ait-Nouri miss a training camp in June.

This is great news for Wolves.

It’s a shame Ait-Nouri won’t be able to play for Algeria.

But, at the very least, they are simply friends, and this is now a nice opportunity for Ait-Nouri to take a breather.

He’s been prominently involved this season under Gary O’Neil, who clearly adores him.

The £10 million man has appeared in all ten of Wolves’ games thus far, clocking 643 minutes.

Wolves officials and coaches will most likely be relieved he is sticking behind.
